Overview
Network Design and Optimization (NDO) and Network Performance Optimization (NPO) are critical, often intertwined, phases in the lifecycle of a telecommunications network. NDO focuses on the initial planning and strategic layout of a network, determining optimal cell site locations, antenna configurations, and frequency planning to meet coverage, capacity, and quality targets even before physical infrastructure is fully deployed. Conversely, NPO comes into play once the network is operational, continuously monitoring, analyzing, and fine-tuning various parameters, such as power levels, tilt angles, and traffic distribution, to maximize network efficiency, improve user experience by minimizing dropped calls and maximizing data speeds, and ensure the network consistently meets its key performance indicators (KPIs) in a dynamic environment.
The Process
Network Design and Optimization (NDO) and Network Performance Optimization (NPO) processes represent a continuous cycle ensuring optimal telecommunication network functionality. NDO begins with pre-deployment strategic planning, determining ideal base station locations, antenna configurations, and frequency allocations based on simulations and analysis of coverage and capacity requirements. Once the network is operational, NPO takes over, with teams continuously monitoring network performance through data, analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) like call drop rates, data throughput, and latency. Based on this analysis, they fine-tune network parameters such as power adjustments, antenna tilt optimization, and load balancing, to identify and resolve bottlenecks or emerging issues, ensuring a maximal user experience and sustained network efficiency.

Matawari Lintas Nusa (MLN) was establish on December 2010 which focuses on Information Technology and Telecomunication Strategic Sourcing. The Professional who is established PT. MLN has been involved in various IT and Telecommunication Project in Indonesia. PT MLN supported by experience resources, projects managers (PM), supervisors, engineers and lead by top management who has involved and experiences in wide range IT and telecommunication project in Indonesia.
